How to Help
There are many ways in which you can help support the Valley Zoo. Below is a list of ways you can help, but you can also make a donation, Adopt- An- Animal, purchase an Elephant painting, or contact us if there is another way you would like to help.

In Memoriam Gifts
Whenever a donation is made to the zoo in memory of loved one, the Valley Zoo Development Society (VZDS) will send a card to the family of the person, to whom the memorial has been dedicated to, notifying them that a gift has been made in their honor. The donor will also receive a thank you card from the VZDS.
In Honor Gifts
If you would like to honor a living friend, colleague, or loved one you can do so by donating to the VZDS. A letter will be sent to the person who has been honored notifying them, and a thank you card will be sent to the donor.
Legacy Gift in One’s Will
Legacy gifts, or planned gifts, can leave a powerful legacy for the Valley Zoo.
One can leave a legacy for those who follow and help build the zoo in several ways, including:
- Making a bequest in one’s will for a specific sum or a portion of an estate.
- Considering a bequest of assets, for example stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or real estate.
- Naming the Valley Zoo as a beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF or pension, or life insurance policy.
Donate Proceeds or Hold an Event
Fundraising is a great way to make a gift to the zoo and educate people at the same time. Events such as: concerts, art shows, cycling, running, or walking, can be held and proceeds can be donated to the zoo.
